Home away from Home Vacation in Texas

Home Away From Home
It is time to start planning a vacation

If you're planning a vacation in the Austin Texas area
I highly  recommend  the Southern Plantation Home
Lakeway Vacation Rental estate.

I had the privilege of staying at the plantation home for a couple of nights
and believe me it was hard for me to leave this wonderful place.

I took a peaceful walk around the estate and
enjoyed the breeze while sitting up in the balcony with a
great view. There is a swimming pool, BBQ pit, pool house
and more
I had a wounderful weekend with my family and would
love to this again.

This is a great family vacation getaway.
A group of girls nightout.
If you are attending a conference with a group this is
a great way to split the cost.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

Tell them I recommend this wonderful home
thanks

Apple Cider vinager

BENEFITS of Apple Cider Vinager

A list of these follows: allergies, arthritis, asthma, coughs, diarrhea, dizziness, fatigue, food poisoning, gas, gout, hair loss, headaches, heartburn, hiccups, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, insomnia, menstruation, nail problems, nervousness, nose bleeds, obesity, shingles, and sore throats just to name a few.
One of the main benefits of apple cider vinegar is the fact that it is very effective in detoxicating both the blood stream and various organs in the body. Aspects of apple cider vinegar act, therefore, as a purifier where this drink has the ability to break down fatty mucous and phlegm deposits in the body.
...One key ingredient of apple cider vinegar is potassium. READ MORE

I am a true believer of ACV
I had warts on a couple of my fingers and they spread to all but two
I tried over the counter medicine, but it didn't work
This summer while on vacation my conclusion was that I would see a dermatolist.
But instead I continue to pray and believing  that the Lord could help me with this.
Because it was effecting ME in church and in small gatherings
I was ashamed to lift my hands or shake hands.
I knew that the Lord didn't want me to live that way.
I did some more searches on the computer
Which Ihad done many times throught that year searching for remedies for warts.
Never until that day I found this site
I used HEB apple cider Vinager.
The warts were gone after two weeks of treatment in Aug.2008
---
Now I am drinking Organic ACV in my water off and on .
I just need to be more consistant because I believe it will be a help to my health

Best Deals/Stockpiling

BEST TIME TO BUY AND WHAT ITEMS TO BUY

JANUARY - Historically, Quaker has hot deals on cereal/all items. We see Pepsi/Tostitos go on sale mid-January (again, rebates abound for these). Other items of note this time of year are chili, side dishes, anything for hearty/warm meals.
• Post-Holiday Sales
• White Sales
• Sports and Weight Loss Equipment
• Computers
• Winter Apparel and Accessories
· Organizers, Rubbermaid totes, shelf organizers, planners, filing cabinets

FEBRUARY – many of the same food items as January
• Electronics
• Floor Coverings
• Housewares
• Furniture
• Candy and Chocolates

MARCH - Frozen food month. You'll find many stores are offering free freezers or fill-a-bag deals. Between March and April, look for spring cleaning deals, so many cleaner items will be on sale. With Easter, looks for eggs, ham, Kraft products to cycle into good sales. Paper products like towels, napkins, plates are starting to come on strong. Beverage items.
• Spring Apparel and Accessories
• Winter Sports Equipment
• Gardening Supplies
• Luggage

APRIL –
• Spring Apparel and Accessories
• Coats and Hats
• Paint
• Wallpaper
• Jewish Foods and Eggs

MAY - get ready for summer! Here come loads of deals on BBQ sauce, frozen veggies, baked beans, and condiments of all kinds, summer-time meats (ribs, hotdogs, and ground beef). Also with all the holidays, look for tons of paper goods that match the holiday and pick them up after clearance. These deals generally continue through September!
• White Sale - Linens and Towels
• Spring Cleaning Supplies
• Auto Maintenance
• Home Maintenance
• Sodas & Bottled Water, Hotdogs, Hamburger Meat, Condiments, Paper & Plastic plates & cups
* Raid/Off bug repellents and sunscreens

JUNE –
• Summer Apparel and Accessories
• Pianos
• Television Sets
• Building Materials and Hardware
• Dairy Products

JULY –
• Air Conditioners
• Summer Sports Equipment
• Sportswear
• Craft Supplies
• Sodas, Hot dogs, Hamburger Meat, Condiments
* Loss leader school supplies start now through the end of August

AUGUST –
• White Sale - Linen and Towels
• BBQ and Patio Equipment
• Back to School Supplies
• Bathing Suits
• Fresh Fish and Vegetables
• Breakfast foods (Cold cereal-Juice-Waffles-etc)
• Cold lunch items for in lunch boxes

SEPTEMBER - back to school; time to fill up on snacks! Pudding cups, Capri suns, fruit snacks, cereal sales start up hard again, peanut butter/jelly. Also, like clockwork, there will be Prego coupons in August, and plan on getting lots and using them in a hurry before they expire in September when the spaghetti sauce goes on sale. Sauce wars between Ragu and Prego this month. Campbell’s soups will go on as well and there will be coupons in the end of August for these as well. Lunch ables are on sale this time of year, too.
• Back to School Supplies and Apparel
• Gardening Supplies
• Housewares
• Bicycles
• Canned Goods

OCTOBER - Stock up on holiday foods – Stove Top, turkey, instant mashed potatoes, broth, cranberries, marshmallow, ice cream, pie shells, whipped cream, pudding. Look for great Kraft deals again this time of year. Piggyback those Kraft coupons when you can. Crackers are a biggie - going on for $1 or less a box. Lots of extra deals like $ off cheese WYB crackers. The real kicker is the after Christmas food deals! Save your coupons because pie fixings, fried onion, broth and canned green beans will be on deep discount. I got those onions for .50 a can, normally almost $4. These generally continue through December.
• Cars
• Houses
• Fishing Equipment
• Crystal, Silver, and Glassware
• Candy
· Baking/candy-making items (choc chips, sprinkles, vanilla, corn syrup, nuts, etc)

NOVEMBER -
• Winter Apparel and Accessories
• Quilts and Blankets
• Heating Devices
• Turkey, Sweet Potatoes
• Canned goods (soup, chicken broth, condensed milk, veggies etc)
• Baking goods

DECEMBER –
• Toys
• Gift Items
• Party ware
• Post-Holiday Sales
• Party Foods, Baking Goods, and Various Meat
• Canned goods (broth, soups, etc)

Year-round after a holiday, you can always pick up cheap cookie dough and any food related to a holiday.

Continual sales are candy, popcorn, chips, anything snacky, cereal (heavier in the fall/winter, but still around in the spring).
Frozen food sales seem to centralize on a brand and the switch brands the next month. I think the manufacturers buy slot time for sales. So last month, Stouffer's was on sale hard, now lean cuisine is. Save the entire frozen coupon and then keep checking back for the brand of the month.

Frozen pizzas go on sale in the fall and then again the spring; not often in the summer because people don't want to turn their ovens on in the summer.

By all means, this isn't everything that you can get on sale, but if you follow the cycle and stock up (I never buy BBQ sauce in the winter), then you can get where you have enough on hand and only need to refill when the items are in season. The result is that you spend less and less with each successful cycle

(THIS iNFORMATIONS ALL COMES FROM ANOTHER SITE)

A great way to help Military famlies with expired coupons

Overseas Coupon Program

HELP MILITARY FAMILIES BY SENDING YOUR EXPIRED COUPONS TO HELP THEM

Military commissaries overseas accept manufacturer cents-off coupons for up to six months past their printed expiration dates. That means that coupons that are useless to you can still save oversea military families some money.

http://www.ocpnet.org/

Click on Overseas base list

According to Becky who is in charge of OCPNET says.

The base in Ikego, Japan, currently needs the most help.

USMC Community Services
ATTN: 5PSVC
PSC 561, Box 1867
FPO AP 96310-1867

One Sunday's coupons in a regular envelope uses a single stamp.

Donation size?

There is no minimum. You'll find that those pesky little pieces of paper add up fast! The average Sunday newspaper contains approximately $125 worth of coupons. Even the smallest donation, when combined with the donations of other individuals, will make a difference in the lives of many military families serving our country overseas.

Expired Coupons?

2 Months Max! Yes expired coupons are accepted. We recommend not sending any coupons older than 2 months expired on the date of shipment. They can use them for a couple of months after that but remember that the volunteers at the base must process the coupons once they arrive and get them out to be used. We also need to leave enough time for them to have the families sort through them and find the ones they want for use.

Clip the Coupons

By clipping the coupons, you save the volunteers at the base valuable time. Most organizations are short of needed volunteers. You also save yourself a lot of additional postage since most of the coupon circulars are wasted paper.

What type of Coupons?

Manufacturer’s Coupons are the coupons of choice since they are accepted at any store.

What type of coupons NOT to send?

Do not send Assistance Vouchers, Food Stamps, or any other assistance items. Store coupons, those only good at the store named are useless on a military base overseas. The stores there are the BX/PX or the Commissary. (See below) Do not send restaurant coupons.

Sort the Coupons

Most bases have 2 stores. One is called the “Commissary” which is a grocery store and the other is the PX or BX which is a department store. We therefore ask you to sort the coupons into “food” and “non-food” bundles so that they can more easily be placed in the correct venue once they arrive at the base. If a base wants additional sorting they will let you know.

How to package the coupons?

Use baggies, envelopes, etc., to contain the different categories -- whatever will keep them separated during shipment

(Do not use rubber bands, paper clips, and similar methods of keeping the coupons sorted as they do not work and will come apart in shipping).

Be sure to label the bundles!

What's "Food" and what's not?

Here's my rule of thumb: It's food if it can be eaten by humans, is usually eaten by humans and provides calories. For example, dog & cat food would be "Non-Food," but Ensure or Slim-Fast would be "Food." Vitamins would be non-food.

Tally the coupons

Add up the face value dollar amount for the coupons. Be sure to keep the “food” totals separate from the “non-food” amounts.

If you do not wish to total the coupons you may weigh them. If you choose this method we will give you current average credit. This amount will usually not be as much as if you total them yourself.

"Buy one, get one free" offers usually have a maximum value printed on them. If not, make your best guess.

Buy something, get something by mail offers (e.g., get a stuffed bear for purchasing boxes of Sudafed products) count for zero, but please send them anyway! (These things make nice, inexpensive Christmas gifts for the children.)

"Why total coupons? That's an awful lot of work..."

* So that we may place a value on the work that you do.
* These totals also make you eligible for OCP Awards (Note: awards program currently on hold for evaluation, but remember we could restart it at any time.
* Additionally, this assists OCP HQ in tracking which bases may need to receive more
coupons

SENIORS AND SCHOLARSHIIPS

IF YOU HAVE A SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL,HERE IS SOME INFORMATION ON SCHOLARSHIPS

"The myth is that you have to have an amazing GPA or SAT score to win a merit-based scholarship," says Ben Kaplan, founder of

http://scholarshipcoach.com/ and author of "How to Go to College Almost for Free." "That thinking takes people out of the running."Students who are otherwise gifted can win money from nonacademic scholarships, such as essay contests, community service scholarships and awards based on artistic or athletic skill.

To find these smaller scholarships, which often offer better odds to entrants, tap your local resources.

Tips for applying for scholarships
Multi-apply. "One mistake people make is that they apply for one or two scholarships and stop," says Kaplan, who applied for three dozen scholarships and won around two dozen for his Harvard education. "Once you've applied to one or two, 60 percent of the work has already been done to apply for 10."
